Terms and Conditions
By completing this transaction, I agree to the following terms and conditions ("Terms"):
I understand that my donation is to JustGive, a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), which is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that processes donations and disburses funds to charities based on donor recommendations. My statement will read "JustGive" and not the recommended charity since my donation is to JustGive's DAF. JustGive will forward the donation to the recommended charity of record.
I understand that, like any tax-deductible charitable donation, my donation cannot be cancelled or returned once it has been completed. I understand that JustGive will conduct due diligence to make sure that the charity I have selected meets public accountability standards. If the charity I have selected no longer accepts donations, is no longer recognized by the IRS as a public charity, or is no longer in good standing with federal regulators, JustGive will contact me to request an alternate charity. If I do not respond within 30 days, JustGive will select another charity that meets high public standards and whose mission is similar to the organization that I originally selected.
I understand that I cannot accept any goods or services in exchange for my donation. If I received goods or services in exchange for my donation, I understand that my tax deduction may be limited to the excess of the contribution over the fair market value of any items received in exchange for the donation.
I understand that I cannot donate to other DAFs, individuals, or private foundations through this site. I affirm that I am not a DAF, private foundation, or a member of JustGive's Board of Directors.
I understand that the assets held in JustGive's DAF are the organization's property, subject to the organization's exclusive legal control, and that grant funds may be used only for charitable purposes and not for the benefit of the donor or donor advisor or other impermissible private benefit.
Fees. I understand that JustGive will deduct a fee of 4.5% plus 35¢ per donation from my transaction to cover processing and handling costs.
Recurring. I understand that if my donation is recurring, my first donation will be charged immediately, and the next donation will occur in the month I have chosen. Recurring donations are charged on the first of every month and can be cancelled at any time before the first of the month. If a card is declined the donation will be automatically cancelled.
Gift cards. I agree to the following Terms regarding the purchase and redemption of charity gift cards:
Gift cards must be redeemed through JustGive's website, http://www.justgive.org, for charitable donations to any of the organizations listed on the website.
Gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards.
Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. Any unused balance will be placed in the recipient's gift card account and is not transferable.
If a transaction exceeds the amount of my gift card, I must pay for the balance with a credit card.
JustGive is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.
JustGive will have the right to close donor accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained gift card is redeemed through the JustGive website.
Gift cards are valid for two years from the date of purchase. After that time, they are no longer redeemable.
In the event a gift card code is non-functional, my sole remedy and JustGive's sole liability is the replacement of said gift card.
