Donors Raised $8.5 Million for Nonprofits!
Our Best Year Yet!
As many of you are already aware, JustGive had its most successful
year ever. In 2003, we passed through $6.5 million to nonprofits!
That brings our total - to date - to $8.5 million! We are very
pleased and attribute much success to our partner giving programs:
American Express, Yahoo!, and Hallmark.
IMPORTANT: Update Your Info at Guidestar
One reason our checks to nonprofits get delayed is because they are
returned due to outdated addresses. It is vital that every nonprofit
visit www.guidestar.org and make sure their information is updated
and correct.
Donors Already Acknowledged
A question we hear often from nonprofits is "Should we send a tax
receipt to donors who contributed through JustGive?" Please note
that we provide an acknowledgement that meets the tax requirements
to everyone who makes a donation on our website. If you want to send
a thank you note, that's up to you, but it's not necessary.
Saving Time, Money, and Trees!
Another question we hear often from nonprofits is "Should we send
JustGive a receipt to reflect a donation?" Our answer is an
unequivocal "no!" JustGive exists in order to reduce the
administrative costs and work for nonprofits, helping to save time,
money, and paper!
