Why She Helps

Alice started Frou Frou Flip Flops to raise money for the victims of the tsunami. She wanted to do a lemonade stand, but her mother didn't think that would work, so she started making flip-flops. She got the idea from her teacher after making them in class for Mother's Day.

From her home in Florida, Alice creates custom-made, fanciful flip-flops covered with ribbons, buttons and more, that she and her mom market as being "perfect for pedicures" or PJ parties.

What Others Think

This project Alice has started to help others has lead them to many fantastic people also using their time and talents to help others. Her classmates have been inspired by Alice so they volunteer their creative efforts in helping her fulfill orders. Alice won the "Kids are Heros award from her local Children's Hospital.

How You Can Help

Alice is currently collecting for Sharsheret, a national organization that pairs cancer survivors with young Jewish women facing breast cancer.
